Chitchor
''Chitchor'' () is a 1976 Indian Hindi-language romantic musical film, written and directed by Basu Chatterjee. The film is a Rajshri Productions film produced by Tarachand Barjatya. It is based on a Bengali story, ''Chittachakor'' by Subodh Ghosh. K. J. Yesudas and Master Raju won the National Film Awards 1976 for Best Male Playback Singer and Best Child Artist respectively. The film was remade in Telugu as ''Ammayi Manasu'' , in Malayalam as '' Minda Poochakku Kalyanam'' and in Tamil as '' Ullam Kavarntha Kalvan''. It was also an inspiration for the 1997 Bengali film ''Sedin Chaitramas'' and the 2003 film '' Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon''. Basu Chatterjee
Basu Chatterjee (10 January 1927 – 4 June 2020) was an Indian film director and screenwriter in Hindi Cinema. Through the 1970s and 1980s, he became associated with what came to be known as middle cinema or middle-of-the-road cinema filmmakers, such as Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Bhattacharya, whom he assisted on Teesri Kasam (1966). Like their films, his films dealt with light-hearted stories of middle-class families often in urban settings, focusing on marital and love relationships. Hemlata (singer)
Hemlata (born 16 August 1954) is an Indian classically trained playback singer in Bollywood. She is best known for her songs in the late 1970s, especially Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se song. She was nominated for Filmfare Best Female Playback Award five times in the period of 1977–81 and won once for Chitchor in 1977 for her classical rendition of "Tu Jo Mere Sur Mein" which was duet with K.J. Yesudas, composed by Ravindra Jain. Early life and background Hemlata was born in Hyderabad as Lata Bhatt into an Marwari Brahmin family and spent her childhood in Calcutta. Raju Shrestha (born Fahim Ajani; 15 August 1966), known by his stage name Master Raju or Master Rajoo, is an Indian film and television actor, who started his film career as a child actor, in the 1970s. Ravindra Jain (28 February 1944 – 9 October 2015) was an Indian music composer, lyricist and playback singer. He started his career in the early 1970s by composing for several hit movies. Vijayendra Ghatge (born 1945) is an Indian actor in Bollywood film and television. He is known for his role of Lala Vrishbhaan in the TV serial '' Buniyaad'' that originally aired on DD National in 1986.
