The Chile women's cricket team toured Argentina in October 2023 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. All three matches were held at the St Albans Club Ground in Buenos Aires, and Argentina won the series 3–0. In the first match, Argentina scored 427/1 in the first innings and dismissed Chile for 63. In doing so, Argentina broke a number of records in all T20I cricket, including the highest score and the biggest winning margin in terms of runs (364). Argentina's Lucia Taylor made the highest ever score (169) and together with Albertina Galan had the biggest ever partnership by runs (350). The match was also unusual in that not a single six was scored. Chile Women's National Cricket Team
The Chile women's national cricket team, nicknamed Las Loicas, represents the country of Chile in women's cricket matches. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. Therefore, all Twenty20 matches played between Chile women and another international side after 1 July 2018 have the full WT20I status. International Cricket Chile's first WT20I matches were contested as part of the South American Women's Championships in August 2018 against Brazil, Mexico and Peru however Peru's matches were not classified as WT20Is as not all of their players met the ICC residency requirements. Women's Twenty20 international (WT20I) is the shortest form of women's international cricket. A women's Twenty20 international is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match between two of the International Cricket Council (ICC) members. The very first Twenty20 International match was played on 5 August 2004 between England and New Zealand at Hove, six months before the first Twenty20 International match was played between two men's teams. The Women's T20 World Cup, the highest-level event in the format, was first held in 2009. In April 2018, the ICC granted full women's Twenty20 international (WT20I) status to all its members. The Club San Albano , also known as the St. Albans Club, is an Argentine sports club from the Burzaco district of Almirante Brown Partido.
