Children's Hospital Classic
The Children's Hospital Classic was a golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. It was played annually at the Black Creek Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee and produced by Friends of the Festival Event Management from 2007 to 2011. From 2003 to 2010 the event was called the Chattanooga Classic. The 2011 purse was $500,000, with $90,000 going to the winner. Troy Kelly
Troy Kelly (born August 2, 1978) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Kelly became the youngest player to ever compete in Washington State Junior Golf Association (WJGA) tournaments at the age of 6. He was the WJGA state champion at age 11 and 13. He won more than 40 tournaments in his junior golf career. He turned professional after graduating from the University of Washington in 2003. Professional career Kelly played on mini tours from 2003 to 2008. He played on the Gateway Tour in 2003, 2005 and 2006 where he won two events. He played on the Golden State Tour in 2007 and 2008, where he won multiple events. Kelly also won the AG Spanos California Open on the AG Spanos Tour in 2006. Jerry Smith (golfer)
Jerry Smith (born April 23, 1964) is an American professional golfer. He has played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Smith was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He played college golf at Baylor University. He turned professional in 1987. Smith played on the Asian Tour for seven years, winning the 1998 Guam Open. Smith played on the Nationwide Tour in 1999, 2003, and 2005. His best finishes were a pair of T-2 in 2005 at the Chattanooga Classic, which he lost in a playoff, and the Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic. Smith played the PGA Tour from 2000 to 2002 and 2006 to 2007. His best finish was a T-3 at the 2001 National Car Rental Golf Classic Disney. Smith has played in four U.S. Opens but never made the cut. Smith qualified for the 2015 Champions Tour by finishing third at qualifying school in 2014. Joe Daley (born October 30, 1960) is an American professional golfer formerly of the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour. He now plays on the PGA Tour Champions. On 1 July 2012, Daley won the Senior Players Championship for his first major victory on the Champions Tour. Early life and amateur career Daley was born in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, attended and played golf at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School before walking on to the golf team at Old Dominion University. He graduated in 1982. After college, Daley worked as a wholesale credit manager for ten years. Professional career In 1992, Daley turned pro at the advanced age of 32. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1997 and 1999 to 2009. He earned his PGA Tour card in 1996 and 1998 and played in 60 events on the major tour. His best finish was a tie for sixth at the 1996 B.C.
