Chema Madoz
__NOTOC__ Jose Maria Rodriguez Madoz (born 1958) better known as Chema Madoz, is a Spanish photographer, best known for his black and white surrealist and poetic photographs. Chema Madoz studied Art History at Universidad Complutense de Madrid between 1980 and 1983. It is here that he was first exposed to the study of photography and imaging. In an interview published in 2001, Chema explains that he currently uses a Hasselblad camera to take his photos. The book, ''Chema Madoz: Objetos 1990–1999'' was presumably shot entirely with this camera, rather than the 6×6 Mamiya he has used previously. In November 2011, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain, with Chilean first lady Cecilia Morel, opened an exhibition of Chema Madoz's work at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Santiago, Chile). The Santiago Museum of Contemporary Art (Spanish: ''Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Santiago'' or ''MAC'') is located in Santiago, Chile. Salvador Espriu
Salvador Espriu i Castelló (; 10 July 1913 – 22 February 1985) was a Catalan poet. Biography Espriu was born in Santa Coloma de Farners, Catalonia, Spain. He was the son of an attorney. He spent his childhood between his home town, Barcelona, and Arenys de Mar, a village on the Maresme coast. At the age of sixteen, he published his first book, ''Israel'', written in Spanish. In 1930 he entered the University of Barcelona, where he studied law and ancient history. While traveling (1933) to Egypt, Greece and Palestine, he became acquainted with the countries that originated the great classical myths, and which would be so influential in his work. During the Spanish civil war he was mobilised and served in military accounting. Translated into several languages, Espriu's work has obtained international recognition, most notably the ''Montaigne prize'' (1971). Vik Muniz
Vik Muniz (; born 1961) is a Brazilian artist and photographer. Initially a sculptor, Muniz grew interested with the photographic representations of his work, eventually focusing completely on photography. Primarily working with unconventional materials such as tomato sauce, diamonds, magazine clippings, chocolate syrup, dust, dirt, etc., Muniz creates works of art, referencing old master's paintings and celebrity portraits, among other things, and then photographs them. Helena Almeida (11 April 1934 – 25 September 2018) was a Portuguese artist known for her work in photography, performance art, body art, painting and drawing. She represented Portugal at the Venice Biennale in 1982 and 2005 and had a solo exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2017. Early life Almeida was born in Lisbon in 1934. She was the daughter of the sculptor Leopoldo de Almeida (1898–1975). In 1955, Almeida completed the painting course at the School of Fine Arts in Lisbon. She married architect Artur Rosa. María Cecilia Morel Montes (born 14 January 1954) is the wife of the former President of Chile Sebastián Piñera, and as such is the former First Lady of Chile.
