Chef's Table (TV Series)
''Chef's Table'' is an American documentary series created by David Gelb', which premiered on video streaming service Netflix on April 26, 2015. The series takes viewers inside both the lives and kitchens of a variety of acclaimed and successful international chefs, with each episode placing the spotlight on a single chef and exploring the unique lives, talents and passions which influence their style of cooking. The series has been nominated for and awarded a variety of awards, including 8 Emmy nominations. Season 7 was released on November 27, 2024 and a fifth spin-off entitled "Legends" was released on April 28, 2025, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the show. Attica is a fine-dining restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, owned and operated by Ben Shewry. It has won several awards in Australia, and has been included in The World's 50 Best Restaurants since 2010. Its current position on the list places it as the top restaurant in Australia. The restaurant was opened by Dr David Maccora (an emergency doctor at Malvern's Cabrini Hospital) and his wife Helen, in a converted suburban bank building. After two chefs failed to attract sufficient patronage at the restaurant the Maccoras employed Ben Shewry (formerly at St Kilda's Circa) in 2005, giving him full creative control of the menu. n/naka is a one-Michelin-star modern kaiseki restaurant located in Los Angeles, founded by chef Niki Nakayama. The name is a portmanteau of Nakayama's first and last name. In 2019, n/naka was named to ''Food & Wine''s 30 best restaurants in the world. History Nakayama opened the restaurant after selling her first venture, acclaimed sushi restaurant Azami, in 2008. Niki Nakayama (born 1975) is an American chef and the owner of Michelin-starred n/naka restaurant in Los Angeles, specializing in modern Japanese kaiseki cuisine. Early life Nakayama was born to Japanese parents in Koreatown in Los Angeles. Her parents worked as fish distributors (now run by her older brother) and ended up divorcing when Nakayama was 12. She later attended culinary school in Pasadena, after which she worked at Mori Sushi.
