"Charlotte" is a single by Bournemouth-based alternative rock band Air Traffic. Taken from the band's debut studio album '' Fractured Life'', the track was released through Tiny Consumer, a record label division of EMI. "Charlotte" was first released as part of the band's debut single, a double a-side with " Just Abuse Me", on July 17, 2006. The single was released as the fifth in a series of black and white vinyls by Label Fandango - the independent record label of live music promotion company Club Fandango - which was the band's record label at the time. "Charlotte" was re-released on March 26, 2007, becoming the band's first proper single. The re-released single received moderate airplay on radio and music television channels, particularly as part of the MTV2/ NME Chart and MTV2's "Spanking New Music" show. Air Traffic
Air traffic control (ATC) is a service provided by ground-based air traffic controllers who direct aircraft on the ground and through a given section of controlled airspace, and can provide advisory services to aircraft in non-controlled airspace. The primary purpose of ATC is to prevent collisions, organise and expedite the flow of traffic in the air, and provide information and other support for pilots. Club Fandango
Club Fandango is a live music promotions company based in Highbury, London. It was started in 2001, by Simon Williams and Andy MacLeod. The former runs Fierce Panda records, the latter the Pointy Records label. Williams and MacLeod had previously promoted nights such as Club Spangle!, NME "On" nights, Club Pointy and Club Panda. Initially promoting every Tuesday night at the Dublin Castle, Camden, Club Fandango soon expanded to regularly put on gigs in other north London venues such as Camden Barfly. On certain nights, Club Fandango teamed up with Rock Sound magazine, the BMI and digital music station BBC 6 Music. Label Fandango is an independent record label based in Highbury, London. Evolving out of parent companies Fierce Panda Records and Pointy Records, it has been releasing limited edition music singles since 2005. It is run by live music promotion company Club Fandango. ''Fractured Life'' is the debut album by English alternative rock band Air Traffic. It was released on 2 July 2007 on the Tiny Consumer label, an imprint of EMI. The album contains UK Top 40 hit " Charlotte" as well as other singles "Just Abuse Me", "Never Even Told Me Her Name", "Shooting Star" and, most recently, " No More Running Away".
