The 2020 Challenge Tour was the 32nd season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. In-season changes After beginning with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, the remainder of the season was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with many tournaments being cancelled or postponed. Christopher Herlihy "Hurly" Long (born 21 July 1995) is a German professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won the 2020 Italian Challenge Open Eneos Motor Oil on the Challenge Tour. Amateur career Long attended Texas Tech University from 2015 to 2018, having been a freshman at the University of Oregon in 2014/15. He won the 2017 Carmel Cup after a playoff, which included a second-round 61 to set a new course record at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach. He was part of the German team in three Eisenhower Trophy tournaments: 2014, 2016 and 2018. 2021 Challenge Tour
The 2021 Challenge Tour was the 33rd season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. Changes for 2021 Similarly to 2020, the season was due to begin in February with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, but in mid-January the South African swing was postponed to April/May because of COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The official schedule announcement was made on 27 January 2021. In April two back-to-back events in Sweden in May were added. In-season changes In August, it was announced that the Hainan Open and the Foshan Open; both played in China, were cancelled. Bo Jesper Svensson (born 14 March 1996) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and PGA Tour. Samuel Michael Thomas Hutsby (born 29 October 1988) is an English professional golfer. Amateur career Hutsby had a successful amateur career, working under the tutelage of golf coach Sam Torrance until they broke up in June 2008.
