Ceibos
Dogos XV is a professional rugby union team based in Cordoba, Argentina. The team was founded in 2019 as Ceibos to compete in Super Rugby Americas, Súper Liga Americana de Rugby and was Argentina's second professional franchise. The team was disbanded ahead of the 2021 season, following Argentina Rugby's decision to play the in the competition, following the team's departure from Super Rugby. The team was rebranded for the 2023 Super Rugby Americas season as "Dogos XV", and controlled by the Unión Cordobesa de Rugby (''Córdoba Rugby Union''). It also participated in a cross-border competition in November 2022 against Brazil national rugby union team, Brazil XV, Paraguay national rugby union team, Paraguay XV and Unión de Rugby de Tucumán, Tucumán. Dogos is also the name of Córdoba's provincial team, which won the Campeonato Argentino 7 times, the last in 2012. Super Rugby Americas (SRA) is a franchise rugby union tournament format in the Americas that began its first season in February 2023 after efforts by World Rugby. It is organized and led by Sudamérica Rugby, the highest rugby entity in South America. The tournament includes seven teams through franchises. The holding of this tournament in the Americas has the precedent of the extinct ''Superliga Americana de Rugby (SLAR)'' (), a precursor competition. Franco Molina
Franco Molina (born 28 August 1997) is an Argentina rugby union player who plays for Exeter Chiefs in the Gallagher Premiership. Molina made his mark on the Argentina U20 side during the 2016 & 2017 U20 World Rugby Championship. His performances with the side led to a call-up to the Argentina XV side that competed in the Americas Rugby Championship between 2016 and 2018. In 2018, he was named in the Argentina senior squad for the 2018 Rugby Championship but never made his test debut. Molina played for his hometown club Ceibos and Jaguares XV before moving to Chile to play for Selknam in the Super Rugby Americas. He played for another Argentina side, Dogos XV, in the same competition, where he made 23 appearances for as captain of the side. 2023 Super Rugby Americas Season
The 2023 Super Rugby Americas season is the fourth season of the Super Rugby Americas, an annual rugby union competition mainly for South American rugby clubs, although the first to be held under the Super Rugby Americas name. The regular season will begin on 17 February 2023. Format The seven clubs in the competition compete in the regular season, which takes place over 14 rounds and consists of a double round-robin, with each participating club playing two matches against each of the other six clubs. The top 4 clubs at the end of the regular season move on to the knockout stage where the clubs then play in a knockout tournament, consisting of semi-finals and eventually, the final. Tala Rugby Club
Tala Rugby Club, or simply Tala, is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club sited in Córdoba Province. The rugby team currently plays in the Torneo de Córdoba, the first division of the Unión Cordobesa de Rugby league system. Tala is the most winning club of Córdoba, with 23 titles to date. History "Tala Rugby Club" was founded in Córdoba on November 11, 1944, by rugby enthusiasts from the General Paz, Juniors and Alta Córdoba districts. The institution was established in a train carriage located on the land of one of the founders. This carriage was used as the first headquarters and became a symbol of the club's bohemian spirit.
