Cedar Girls’ Secondary School is a government autonomous girls’ secondary school in Singapore. Established in 1957, it initially offered only a four-year Express course leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level examinations. Starting in 2012, it has partnered with Victoria Junior College to offer a six-year Integrated Programme, which allows students to proceed to Victoria for Year 5 and Year 6 to take the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examinations at the end of 6 Years . History Cedar Girls' Secondary School was founded as school with a pioneer batch of 507 students in 1957. The pioneer batch consisted of girls from the Bartley, Beatty and Siglap schools as a result of the government making all schools single-sex that year. Potong Pasir
Potong Pasir ( ) is a housing estate located between Toa Payoh and Sennett Estate in the Central Region of Singapore. For urban planning purposes, it is classified under the Toa Payoh area. Potong Pasir is accessible by the MRT station on the North East line. Anthea Indira Ong Lay Theng (; born 1968) is a former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) for the 13th Parliament of Singapore. Rachel Isabel Yang Bingjie (, born 28 February 1982) is a Singaporean pole vaulter. Career Yang started pole vaulting in 2006 but suffered a career ending spinal injury in 2009. Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; later influences came from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the campus folk song folk movement of the 1970s.
