Castellengo Castle
Castellengo Castle () is a castle located in Cossato, Piedmont, Italy. History Tradition attributes the construction of the castle to Alberico di Monterone in the 10th century, but more detailed studies trace its foundation to an earlier time. The castle later belonged to the De Bulgaro family, which, from the 12th century, took on the name ''De Castellengo''. In 1374, the castle was pledged to the House of Savoy; in 1406, it was occupied by the mercenary soldier Bando of Florence, an event that led to the De Castellengo family being accused of treason against the Savoys. Cossato
Cossato is a ''municipality'' in the province of Biella, Italy, in the northwest part of Piedmont, east of Biella. It has a population of about 14,804 and it spreads over an area of 27,74 km2, which makes it the second largest town in the Province of Biella. It is crossed by the Strona di Mosso stream. Amadeus VIII, Duke Of Savoy
Amadeus VIII (4 September 1383 – 7 January 1451), nicknamed the Peaceful, was Count of Savoy from 1391 to 1416 and Duke of Savoy from 1416 to 1440. He was a claimant to the papacy from 1439 to 1449 as Felix VWhen numbering of the popes began to be used, Antipope Felix II was counted as one of the popes of that name. The second official Pope Felix is thus known by the number III, and the third was given the number IV. Cervo (river)
The Cervo ( or ''Serv'') is a torrent (a form of seasonally intermittent stream) in the Piedmont region of north-west Italy. It is the principal tributary of the river Sesia, which itself is a significant tributary of the Po. Etymology The name ''Cervo'' rather than from the Latin ''cervus'' (''deer'') should come from the Germanic ''saar'' (''stream'' or ''river''). Geography It crosses the provinces of Biella (communes of Piedicavallo, Rosazza, Campiglia Cervo, Sagliano Micca, Andorno Micca, Tollegno, Biella, Candelo and Castelletto Cervo) and Vercelli (Quinto Vercellese). The Cervo’s source is the Lago della Vecchia (close to the '' Rifugio della Vecchia'') in the Biellese Prealps.
