Carolyn Elizabeth Robinson Cassady (April 28, 1923 – September 20, 2013) was an American writer and associated with the Beat Generation through her marriage to Neal Cassady and her friendships with Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and other prominent Beat figures. Carolyn Lynnet Harris (1947 – January 15, 1994) was an American preservation librarian. She received a B.A. in Art History in 1969 and a Masters of Library Science in 1970, both from the University of Texas at Austin. Career Harris was educated at the University of Texas at Austin and began her career as a manuscript cataloguer at the University of Texas's Harry Ransom Center, where she worked from 1973 to 1980. From 1981 to 1987, she was the head of Columbia University Libraries’ Preservation Division. Carolyn Bartlett Gast (April 30, 1929 – ''c.'' September 2015) was an American scientific illustrator. Early life and education Gast was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She studied book illustrating at Boston University and spent a year training and drafting for the Army Map Service. Career Gast worked at the Departments of Vertebrate and Invertebrate Zoology at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Washington D.C., from 1954 to 1985. She was a scientific illustrator who used a stereoscopic microscope to make two-dimensional drawings of specimens. Carolyn Ann Franklin (May 13, 1944 – April 25, 1988) was an American singer-songwriter. Biography Franklin was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to Barbara Siggers Franklin and C. L. Franklin. The youngest of six children, they moved to Buffalo, New York, shortly after her birth. Around 1946, the Franklin family settled in Detroit, where Carolyn began singing at her father's New Bethel Baptist Church. Carolyn Celeste Eaton (October 1, 1964 – February 1982), previously known as Valentine Sally, was a formerly unidentified American teenager from Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, who was found murdered along Interstate 40 in Arizona, Interstate 40 in Williams, Arizona, on Valentine's Day 1982. The young woman had been last seen alive with an unidentified older man on February 4, 1982, at the Monte Carlo Truck Stop near Ash Fork, Arizona.
