Carleton Ravens
The Carleton Ravens are the athletic teams that represent Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. The most notable sports team for Carleton is the men's basketball team. In men's basketball, the Ravens have won 16 of the last 19 national men's championships, which is more than any top division college in Canada or the United States. The Ravens went on an 87-game winning streak from 2003 to 2006. They also had a 54-game home winning streak. The Ravens finished 2nd in the World University Basketball Championships in 2004. Outside basketball, the Ravens won the silver medal at the 2015 Winter Universiade in Granada. They are also the Men's Water Polo and Men's Fencing provincial champions. Carleton Ravens Men's Ice Hockey
The Carleton Ravens men's ice hockey team is an active ice hockey program representing the Carleton Ravens athletic department of the Carleton University. The team was organized at least as far back as 1949, playing then at the intermediate level. The team was previously dormant for over 30 years, however, the program has been continually active since 2008. History Carleton was one of several Canadian universities who were searching for a conference to call after World War II. The Ravens banded together with several nearby teams to form the Ottawa–St. Lawrence Conference (OSLC), including the second team from McGill Redbirds ice hockey, McGill. The Victoria Vikes are the athletic teams that represent the University of Victoria of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in both men's and women's U Sports. Keith Harris Stadium
TAAG Park is a stadium located on the Carleton University campus in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Known as Raven Field until 1998 when it became known as Keith Harris Stadium. Keith Harris served as the Director of Carleton Athletics for over 30 years and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2011, the Carleton Board of Governors approved a plan for the expansion and renovation of the stadium. The stadium was renamed TAAG Park in August 2022. The stadium is home to Carleton University Ravens varsity football team, men's and women's varsity soccer teams and women's rugby team. Corey Grant
Corey Grant (born December 22, 1976) is the head coach for the Carleton Ravens football team of U Sports. He is a former professional wide receiver in the Canadian Football League where he played for 11 years and won two Grey Cup championships. University career Grant played CIAU football for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks from 1995 to 1998. Professional career Hamilton Tiger-Cats Upon completing his university career, Grant was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with the seventh overall pick in the 1999 CFL Draft. He played and started in all 18 regular season games where he had 56 catches for 875 yards and three touchdowns and won the Frank M. Gibson Trophy as the East Division's Most Outstanding Rookie. Steve Sumarah
Steven Sumarah is the head coach of the Saint Mary's Huskies football, Saint Mary's Huskies of U Sports football. He has also been the head coach of the Canada National Junior Football Team since 2016. As the head coach, he led Football Canada, Team Canada to a IFAF World Junior Championship in 2018 with a 13-7 win over Team Mexico in Mexico City.
