Canadian Interuniversity Sport Men's Soccer Championship
The U Sports Men's Soccer Championship is a Canadian university College soccer in the United States, soccer tournament conducted by U Sports, and determines the men's national champion. The tournament involves the champions from each of Canada's four regional sports conferences. The Sam Davidson Memorial Trophy is awarded to the winners. UBC Thunderbirds, UBC is the reigning champion and has won the most championships winning for the fourteenth time in 2024. Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas, Alberta, York Lions, York, and Victoria Vikes, Victoria are the next most successful programs, having won five championships each. The 2020 championship tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Format The championship features eight teams in single-elimination matches to determine a national champion. The UBC Thunderbirds are the athletic teams that represent the University of British Columbia. In Canadian intercollegiate competition, the Thunderbirds are the most successful athletic program both regionally in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association, and nationally in U Sports, winning 119 national titles. 2023 U Sports Men's Soccer Championship
The 2023 U Sports Men's Soccer Championship was the 51st edition of the U Sports men's soccer championship, a postseason tournament to determine the national champion of the 2023 U Sports men's soccer season. The tournament started on November 9 and ended with the bronze-medal and championship games being played on November 12 at Cape Breton University. It was the fourth tournament to be held in Nova Scotia. Thompson Rivers WolfPack were the defending champions following their victory in 2022, however, they failed the qualify for the 2023 tournament following a quarterfinal elimination in the Canada West playoffs. Thunderbird Stadium
Thunderbird Stadium is an outdoor stadium on the UBC Vancouver campus in British Columbia, Canada. It is located west of Vancouver's city limits, and is primarily used for soccer and football by the UBC Thunderbirds. It seats 3,500 in the main grandstand, plus grass seating for about 5,000 people on the west side and ends of the stadium, and by using the surrounding grass embankment the facility can accommodate up to 12,000 spectators. The stadium was opened on October 7, 1967. It features 12 80-foot-high concrete support towers, all topped with concrete thunderbird statues created by renowned First Nations artist Bill Reid. The CEPSUM () is a multi-purpose complex sport centre located on the campus of the Université de Montréal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The CEPSUM hosts the Montreal Carabins teams. TAAG Park is a stadium located on the Carleton University campus in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Known as Raven Field until 1998 when it became known as Keith Harris Stadium. Keith Harris served as the Director of Carleton Athletics for over 30 years and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2011, the Carleton Board of Governors approved a plan for the expansion and renovation of the stadium. The stadium was renamed TAAG Park in August 2022. The Carleton Ravens are the athletic teams that represent Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. The most notable sports team for Carleton is the men's basketball team. In men's basketball, the Ravens have won 16 of the last 19 national men's championships, which is more than any top division college in Canada or the United States. Hillside Stadium is a multi-purpose, fully lit stadium located next to Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia. It is the home of the Thompson Rivers WolfPack, Kamloops Broncos of the Canadian Junior Football League, and the Kamloops Excel of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. It was a FIFA Recommended 1-Star installation when originally completed, but that has since expired. The TRU WolfPack are the athletic teams that represent Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. They were known as the UCC Sun Demons prior to 2005.
