Cal State LA Station
Cal State LA station (officially Cal State Los Angeles station) is a commuter rail and busway station located on the El Monte Busway. The station is located between Interstate 10 and its namesake, the campus of California State University, Los Angeles. It is located in the El Sereno neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles and Eastside region, in southern California. The busway portion of the station opened on February 18, 1975, and the Metrolink platform was added on October 26, 1994. Just west of this station, the westbound busway lanes cross over the eastbound lanes, reversing the normal placement of the lanes. They remain reversed until the western terminus of the El Monte Busway at Union Station. The reversed lanes allow buses to serve by a single island platform station at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center but prevent vehicles from entering the busway from the general-purpose lanes of Interstate 10 in the eastbound direction. The Monterey Park Spirit Bus is the transportation service of Monterey Park, California, United States, providing local routes that serve the need of those commuting within the city itself or who plan on using the bus to connect with rail service to Los Angeles or surrounding suburbs. Montebello Bus Lines is a municipal bus operator in Montebello, California, USA, mainly serving East Los Angeles, Commerce, and Montebello. History Montebello Bus Lines began on 28 July 1931, with a small lot on the corner of Greenwood Avenue and Olympic Boulevard, where the four buses the agency operated were housed. The conception of Montebello Bus Lines came after several other transport services had served the area. Two years after the City of Montebello was incorporated in 1920, the City launched its first attempt at operating a municipal bus route. But the City then decided to sell its bus operation to the Motor Transport Company in 1928. Silver Streak (bus)
Silver Streak is a bus rapid transit route between Montclair, California, Montclair and Los Angeles operated by Foothill Transit. Between the Montclair TransCenter and the El Monte Bus Station, buses travel on the San Bernardino Freeway. Between El Monte and Downtown Los Angeles, buses use the El Monte Busway. The J Line (formerly the Silver Line, sometimes listed as line 910/950) is a bus rapid transit line that runs between El Monte, downtown Los Angeles and the Harbor Gateway, with some trips continuing to San Pedro. It is one of the two lines in the Metro Busway system operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). The J Line offers frequent, all-stops service along the El Monte Busway and the Harbor Transitway, two grade-separated transit facilities built into the Southern California freeway system.
