CSM Târgu Mureș (men's Basketball)
Clubul Sportiv Municipal Târgu Mureș, commonly known as CSM Târgu Mureș, is a Romanian basketball club based in Târgu Mureș, which currently participates in the Liga Națională, the top-tier league in Romania. The team represents the basketball men's section of CSM Târgu Mureș, a multi-sports club, founded in 2017 by the decision of the local council of Târgu Mureș, in order to reinvigorate the sport from the city, which was in crisis at that time. The Liga I was the second level of professional basketball in Romania. There were 25 teams, divided in 4 groups in Liga I. The competition was dissolved at the start of the 2018–19 season, when the Romanian Basketball System was reformed and Liga Națională remained the only senior level competition. This will be the season with a new format, with 16 teams divided into two groups based on results from the previous season. CSM U Oradea were the defending champions.
