Carrier Routing System (CRS) is a modular and distributed core router developed by Cisco Systems Inc that enables service providers to deliver data, voice, and video services over a scalable IP Next-Generation Network (NGN) infrastructure. In a network topology, these routers are generally positioned in the core or edge of a service provider network. They are also used by Over-the-top content providers and large enterprises. It supports a wide range of interface speeds and types such as channelized OC3, OC12 to OC768 on Packet over SONET and from 1GE, 10GE all the way to 100GE on the Ethernet technologies. A standalone CRS-3 system can handle 2.2 Tbit/s and a multi-chassis system could be designed to handle 322 Tbit/s. SpaceX CRS-1, also known as SpX-1, was SpaceX, SpaceX's first operational cargo mission to the International Space Station, under their Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-1) contract with NASA. It was the third flight for the uncrewed SpaceX Dragon, Dragon Comparison of space station cargo vehicles, cargo spacecraft, and the fourth overall flight for the company's two-stage Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The launch occurred on 8 October 2012 at 00:34:07 Coordinated Universal Time, UTC. History In May 2012, it was reported that the Falcon 9 had been transported to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Cape Canaveral (CCAFS). The Dragon CRS-1 arrived on 14 August 2012. Orbital-1, also known as Orb-1, was the second flight of the Orbital Sciences Corporation, Orbital Sciences Cygnus (spacecraft), Cygnus cargo spacecraft, its second flight to the International Space Station (ISS) and the third launch of the company's Antares (rocket), Antares launch vehicle. The mission launched on 9 January 2014 at 18:07:05 Coordinated Universal Time, UTC. Spacecraft Orb-1 was the first of eight contracted flights by Orbital Sciences under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-1) contract. This was the maiden flight of the Castor (rocket stage), Castor 30B second stage. Orbital Sciences continued its naming of Cygnus spacecraft in tribute to former astronauts. This vehicle was named the S.S. ''C. Gordon Fullerton'' for C. Gordon Fullerton, the NASA astronaut who died on 21 August 2013. Commercial Resupply Services
Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) are a series of flights awarded by NASA for the delivery of cargo and supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) on commercially operated spacecraft. The first phase of CRS contracts (CRS-1) were signed in 2008 and awarded $1.6 billion to SpaceX for twelve SpaceX Dragon 1, Dragon 1 and $1.9 billion to Orbital Sciences for eight Cygnus (spacecraft), Cygnus flights, covering deliveries to 2016. The first operational resupply missions were flown by SpaceX in 2012 (SpaceX CRS-1, CRS SpX-1) and Orbital in 2014 (Cygnus CRS Orb-1, CRS Orb-1). In 2015, NASA extended CRS-1 to twenty flights for SpaceX and twelve flights for Orbital ATK. A second phase of contracts (CRS-2) was solicited in 2014.
