COSAFA Women's Champions League
The CAF Women's Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers, branded as the COSAFA Women's Champions League, is an annual qualification tournament for the CAF Women's Champions League organized by COSAFA for its nations. Established in 2021, it has been sponsored by South African sports betting company, Hollywoodbets. History In 2020, CAF announced the launch of the CAF Women's Champions League with each of the six sub confederations to hold qualifiers with the winners to represent them at the main tournament. In April 2021, COSAFA announced the launch for the inaugural COSAFA Women's Champions League and confirmed the eight team to participate. Prison XI from Botswana were replaced by Double Action Ladies as the former turned down the invitation citing logistical issues. Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (; ), officially abbreviated as COSAFA, is an association of the football playing nations in Southern Africa. It is affiliated to CAF. COSAFA organise several tournaments in the Southern African region, and its most renowned tournament is the COSAFA Cup. Executive committee The 2008 annual general assembly saw the election of the new COSAFA Executive Committee. Previously the committee consisted of 14 members; the new committee now consists of seven members: the president, vice-president and five members, as well as the chief operations officer. The most recent committee was elected on 17 December 2016. The term of office of the COSAFA President is five years and that of the Vice President is four years. Black Rhinos Football Club is a Zimbabwean football club based in Harare. It is a Zimbabwe National Army owned team.
