''C'est pour vivre'' (English: "it's for living") is a French-language compilation album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America in 1997. It features fourteen rare songs recorded between 1983 and 1987. The album was issued under many different titles, with many different covers, and by various music labels. It reached number thirty-two in Wallonia (Belgium) and number forty-nine in the United Kingdom. Background and content After the success of ''D'eux'', which became the best-selling French-language album of all time, various music labels around the world issued compilations with Dion's early and rare recordings from the '80s. Steve Thompson is an American record producer and remixer who has worked with artists including Guns N' Roses, Life of Agony, Tesla, Madonna, John Lennon, Wu-Tang Clan and Korn. Biography Steve Thompson is a native New Yorker. As a youth, he worked as a DJ in New York City. He was mentored by music moguls David Geffen and Clive Davis early in his career. André Charles Jean Popp (19 February 1924 – 10 May 2014) was a French composer, arranger and screenwriter. Biography Popp was born into a family of German-Dutch background, in Fontenay-le-Comte, Vendée.
