Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam F.C. () is an Israeli football club which represents Tel Aviv and Bat Yam. It plays in the Liga Alef, the third level of Israeli football. Home matches are played at the Bat Yam Municipal Stadium. History Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv was formed in 2000 by a merger of Beitar Tel Aviv F.C., Beitar Tel Aviv and Shimshon Tel Aviv F.C., Shimshon Tel Aviv. Both clubs were in Liga Artzit at the time of the merger, with the new club assuming a place in the league. In 2006 the club moved to Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv F.C., Bnei Yehuda's Hatikva Neighborhood Stadium. In 2008–09 Liga Artzit, 2008–09, the club finished sixth in Liga Artzit, and due to league restructuring, were promoted to Liga Leumit, the second tier. In 2011, the club had his second merger, this time with Beitar Ramla F.C., Ironi Ramla, due to it, Shimshon retired from the union making the team changed its name to Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla. The Betar Movement (), also spelled Beitar (), is a Revisionist Zionism, Revisionist Zionist youth movement founded in 1923 in Riga, Latvia, by Ze'ev Jabotinsky, Vladimir (Ze'ev) Jabotinsky. It was one of several right-wing youth movements that arose at that time and adopted special salutes and uniforms influenced by fascism. During World War II, Betar was a source of recruits for both Jewish regiments that fought alongside the British and Jewish groups fighting the British in Mandatory Palestine. Betar was traditionally linked to the original Herut and then Likud political parties of Jewish pioneers, and was closely affiliated with the Revisionist Zionism , Revisionist Zionist militant group Irgun.
