Bardu ( and ) is a municipality in Troms county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Setermoen, the largest urban area in the municipality. The municipality is the 18th largest by area out of the 357 municipalities in Norway. Bardu is the 203rd most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 3,986. Bardufoss
or is a List of towns and cities in Norway, town and commercial centre in Målselv Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The urban area was formally established as a town under Norwegian law in 2021 when the three villages of Andselv, Andslimoen, and Heggelia were merged together to form the new town of Bardufoss. The three neighboring villages are now considered as boroughs or neighborhoods within the larger town. Bardufoss is located in the Målselvdalen valley near the confluence of the Barduelva and Målselva rivers. Bardu Church
Bardu Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bardu Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the village of Setermoen. It is the main church for the Bardu parish which is part of the Senja prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, octagonal, wooden church was built in a octagonal style in 1829 using plans drawn up by the architect Ole Olsen Lundberg. The church seats about 220 people. Bardu Church was constructed from 1825-1829 and it was modeled after the Tynset Church in Hedmark county, but this one was built to a smaller scale. The church has an octagonal floor plan, a large square tower to the west, and a choir to the east. The exterior of the church is clad with vertical, white painted panels. The tower, which was not completed until 1840, has a pyramid-shaped roof. Biography It has been reported that Ali was born September 23, 1910, or 1906, in Mississippi. Barbu (card Game)
Barbu, also known as Tafferan, is a trick-taking, compendium card game similar to hearts, in which four players take turns leading seven different sub-games (known as contracts) over the course of 28 deals. Barbu originated in France in the early 20th century where it was especially popular with university students, and became a prominent game among French bridge players in the 1960s. The French version of the game was originally played with a stripped deck of 32 cards ranked seven to ace in each suit. Modern forms are played with a full 52-card deck. Barbu may be descended from earlier compendium games popular with students and originating in the Austro-Hungarian Empire such as Lorum or Quodlibet.
