Asia's Next Top Model
''Asia's Next Top Model'' (abbreviated as ''AsNTM'') is a reality television show based on the American franchise ''America's Next Top Model'' in which a number of aspiring models compete for the title of ''Asia's Next Top Model'' and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show features models from the entire Far East region (East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia). Search for contestants An extensive online search takes place for the selection process. Models of Asian descent or nationality are all allowed to apply, but they must be able to speak and write in English. All applicants are required to be at least 16 and no older than 27 years of age, and at least tall. Contestants who have previously participated in another ''Top Model'' franchise can still apply for the competition as long as they were not the winner, and are not currently under contractual obligations with an agency or endorsing any product or brand. Asia's Next Top Model Season 5
The fifth cycle of ''Asia's Next Top Model'' (subtitled as ''Asia's Next Top Model 5: Expect The Unexpected'') aired from April 5 to June 28, 2017. Filming for cycle five took place in Singapore and Malaysia. Cindy Bishop and Yu Tsai returned as judges for panel this cycle, while Kelly Tandiono departed from the show, and was replaced by Cara G. McIlroy. The cycle featured 14 contestants: three each from Indonesia and the Philippines, two each from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, and one each from Taiwan and Vietnam. Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, and South Korea were unrepresented. Taiwan marked its comeback after its absences from the two previous cycles. Josephine Tan
Josephine Tan Yee Mei (born 7 April 1990) is a Malaysian model and a beauty pageant titleholder. In 2016, she became the first ever Malaysian to win Supermodel International. Personal life Tan was born in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia but lives in Kuala Lumpur. She is of a Chinese ancestry. She graduated as a broadcasting major in St. John's University of New York. Jodilly Pendre (born April 29, 1993 in the Philippines) is a Filipino fashion model and television personality. She is best known for her appearance as a contestant in the second season of ''Asia's Next Top Model'', where she represented the Philippines.
