Anhée
Anhée ( ; ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 6,934 inhabitants. The total area is 65.67 km2, giving a population density of 106 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Anhée, Annevoie-Rouillon, Bioul, Denée, Haut-le-Wastia, Sosoye and Warnant. The village of Bioul contains Vaxelaire Castle (''Château Vaxelaire''). Bioul
Bioul () is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Anhée, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. Bioul was previously administered as an independent municipality until 1977. Bioul is located on the Condroz region of Belgium, a few kilometers to the west of the Meuse valley Etymology The name of Bioul derives from the Celtic name ''bi-gorto'' meaning "enclosure". History Economy The village is served by regular bus services to Namur and Dinant. At the Château white and sparkling wines, a little reminiscent of Riesling, are produced using varieties of Johanniter, Muscaris and Pinotin grapes, grown locally, having been adapted to survive a climate that is only just warm enough to support viticulture. Maredret Abbey
Maredret Abbey (), also known as l’Abbaye des saints Jean et Scolastique, is a monastery of Order of Saint Benedict, Benedictine nuns located on the edge of , a very small village in the hilly countryside to the south of Charleroi and Namur, Belgium, Namur, Wallonia, Belgium. The abbey was inaugurated with the installation of seven nuns in 1893, and the abbey church was constructed between 1898 and 1907. Maredret is affiliated with the Congregation of the Annunciation within the Benedictine Confederation. History The abbey's foundation was part of the wider monastic revival of the nineteenth century. The project to establish a community of Order of Saint Benedict, Benedictine nuns at Maredret was set in motion by :fr:Famille de Hemptinne, Agnès de Hemptinne, a member of a local family of aristocrats.
