Algeria–Egypt Relations
Relations between Egypt and Algeria have been generally friendly throughout their history which dates back to Egypt's strong support for Ahmed Ben Bella's National Liberation Front (Algeria), FLN during the Algerian War of Independence. This was later followed by Algeria's support for Egypt during the Six-Day War in 1967 and the Yom Kippur War, October War in 1973. In addition both countries are member states of the Arab League while sharing similar views on major regional issues such as the Palestinian cause and the War in Darfur, conflict in Sudan as well as the same vision on Reform of the United Nations Security Council, reforming the United Nations Security Council. Algeria has an embassy in Cairo, while Egypt has an embassy in Algiers. Both are members of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
