The 2023–24 Swiss Super League (referred to as the Credit Suisse Super League for sponsoring reasons) was the 127th season of top-tier competitive football in Switzerland and the 21st under its current name. It was the first season under its current name featuring twelve teams (increased from ten in previous season) and a new format. Young Boys were the defending champions. Overview Format Since rebranding and restructuring the National League A to the Super League, starting with the 2003–04 season, the league had been running under the same format and the same number of teams. Cedric Jan Itten (born 27 December 1996) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a centre forward for Swiss club Young Boys and the Switzerland national team. Club career Youth football Itten started his youth football with FC Black Stars Basel in 2003, before moving to BSC Old Boys a year later. In February 2007 he moved on to the youth department of Basel and played in their U-18 team and their U-21 team. Itten was a part of FC Basel's 2013–14 UEFA Youth League campaign. The Danish Football Association (; DBU) is the governing body of football in Denmark. It is the organization of Danish football clubs and runs the professional Danish football leagues, alongside the men's and women's national teams. Fadil Vokrri Stadium
The Fadil Vokrri Stadium (), previously known as Pristina City Stadium (), is a multi-purpose stadium in Pristina, Kosovo, which is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Prishtina and the Kosovo national football team. The stadium has a capacity of 13,980. History The stadium's construction began in 1951 and completed in 1953. It has been used by FC Prishtina since then. On 9 June 2018, the stadium was renamed from Pristina City Stadium to Fadil Vokrri Stadium, following the death of Fadil Vokrri on the same day, who was a football administrator, player and lastly president of Football Federation of Kosovo. Amir Kadri Rrahmani (born 24 February 1994) is a Kosovar professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Napoli. Club career Drenica Born in Pristina to Albanian parents from Skenderaj, Rrahmani began his football career with the youth team of Drenica, where he was promoted to the senior team during the 2011–12 campaign where he immediately began to impress despite being only 17 years old. He went on trial with Albanian Superliga side Kastrioti Krujë in the summer of 2012, where he impressed the coaching staff. However, a deal to sign the player could not be agreed, with negotiations stalled over a compensation package which was reported to be in the region of €3,000. Remo Marco Freuler (; born 15 April 1992) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Bologna and the Switzerland national team. He has also been part of Switzerland U19 and U21 teams. Club career Freuler began his youth career with FC Hinwil and moved to fellow Zürich side FC Winterthur in 2005. Freuler made his professional debut with Winterthur at the age of 18 in 2010, making two substitute appearances at the end of the 2009–10 Swiss Challenge League.
