2023 Vuelta A España
The 2023 Vuelta a España was a three-week men's cycling race taking place in Spain between 26 August and 17 September 2023. It was the 78th edition of the Vuelta a España and was won by Sepp Kuss. The race started in Barcelona, and it also went through parts of Andorra and France. Teams 22 teams were scheduled to take part in the race. All 18 UCI WorldTeam, UCI WorldTeams were automatically invited. They were joined by 4 UCI ProTeams - the two highest placed UCI ProTeams in 2022 (Lotto–Dstny and Team TotalEnergies), along with Burgos BH and Caja Rural–Seguros RGA who were selected by the organisers. 2023 La Vuelta Femenina
The 2023 (officially by Carrefour.es) was the first edition of , a cycling stage race which takes place in Spain. The race took place from 1 to 7 May 2023, and was the 15th event in the 2023 UCI Women's World Tour. The race was organised by Unipublic and Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), which also organises the men's Vuelta a España. replaced the stage race (previously one day race) Challenge by La Vuelta, which was staged at the same time as the men's tour. The race was won by Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten of Movistar Team (women's team), Movistar Team, making her the first woman to win all three of the major stage races in women's cycling (, Tour de France Femmes and Giro Donne). Burgos Burpellet BH () is a UCI ProSeries, UCI ProTeam cycling team based in Burgos, Spain. The team was founded in 2006 under the name of "Viña Magna-Cropu". Doping In December 2017, David Belda was given a four-year ban after testing positive for EPO. In July 2018, Igor Merino tested positive for growth hormone in a sample taken during June. Morella, Castellón
Morella () is an ancient walled city located on a hill-top in the province of Castellón, Valencian Community, Spain. The town is the capital and administrative centre of the '' comarca'' of Els Ports, in the historic Maestrat (Maestrazgo) region. There are traces of settlement by the Iberians, succeeded by the Greeks and Romans, Visigoths and the Moors. From the early 17th century to the Spanish Civil War, the town was often fought over, due to its strategic situation between the Ebro and the coastal plain of Valencia. Arinsal
Arinsal () is a village in Andorra, set at an altitude of between 1550 and 2560 metres, close to the border with Spain at Tor, Pallars. In the summer Arinsal is home to walkers and bikers, as well as those who just want to relax in the mountain scenery. In the winter, it offers skiing and snowboarding for beginners, as well as a good selection of runs for intermediates. Súria () is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in the Comarques of Catalonia, ''comarca'' of the Bages in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the valley of the Cardener river between Manresa and Cardona, Spain, Cardona. Mataró
Mataró () is the capital and largest town of the Maresme county in Catalonia, Spain. It is located on the Costa del Maresme, Maresme coast, to the south of Costa Brava, between Cabrera de Mar and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, north-east of Barcelona. , it had a population of 129,749. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time. Where a TTT is part of a stage race, it is necessary for each rider to be given a finish time that can be cumulated into the general classification timings.
