2022–23 PBA Season
The 2022–23 PBA season or PBA season 47 was the 47th season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). For the first time in two seasons, the league returned to its regular three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup. The Commissioner's and Governors' Cups were the second and third conferences in this season. After the PBA adjusted its calendar again, the association's 47th season started on June 5, 2022, and ended on April 21, 2023. Also for the first time since 2018, the season spanned two calendar years. The first activity of the season was the PBA season 47 draft, held on May 15, 2022. The best-attended 2022-23 PBA game took place at the Philippine Arena in front of an attendance of 54,589. PBA On One Sports
The PBA on One Sports is the branding for presentation of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) games which started since the 2011–12 PBA season, 2011-12 season. Telecasts are produced by One Sports (formerly Sports5 and ESPN5), the sports division of TV5 Network, TV5 Network Inc., and aired through One Sports (TV channel), One Sports and PBA Rush, with simulcast and livestreaming on Cignal Play, Pilipinas Live and Smart LiveStream. Also, there is a separate coverage in English commentary on PBA Rush since July 15, 2016. TV5, formerly known as Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC), previously handled the coverage of the games from 2004 PBA Fiesta Conference, 2004 to 2007-08 PBA season, 2008. PBA Philippine Cup
The PBA Philippine Cup is one of three active conferences in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). In this conference, only Filipino players and players of Filipino descent can compete, meaning that imports are not allowed. Before the 2004–05 season, the tournament was known as the PBA All-Filipino Cup. It is considered the most prestigious of the three conferences in a PBA season. Since the 2006–07 season, the champions of the Philippine Cup are awarded the Jun Bernardino Trophy, named after former PBA commissioner Jun Bernardino, which they get to keep possession of until the next Philippine Cup champion is crowned. East Asia Super League
The East Asia Super League (EASL) is an international basketball league featuring clubs from Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei), Hong Kong, and Macau. From 2017 to 2019, four pre-season tournaments (the Super 8 and the Terrific 12) were organized by EASL, featuring clubs from selected professional basketball leagues in the region. With official backing from FIBA Asia, EASL has made a transition towards a full-fledged league. The first such season commenced in 2023 and feature eight teams. This was expanded to ten teams for the 2024–25 season, and expanded to eleven teams for the 2025–26 season.
