2021–22 Slovak First Football League
The 2021–22 Slovak First Football League was the 29th season of the first-tier football league in Slovakia since its establishment in 1993. Slovan Bratislava were the defending champions for the third successive year, after picking up the second consecutive domestic double in the previous season. Slovan successfully retained their league title, winning a record-breaking fourth title in a row and a record-extending 12th overall since the competition was established in 1993. Teams Twelve teams competed in the league – the top ten teams from the previous season, the relegation play-offs winner, and the one team promoted from the 2. Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz (; born 12 March 1977) is a Spanish retired association football referee who refereed La Liga matches from 2008 until 2023. Milan Škriniar (born 11 February 1995) is a Slovak professional Association football, footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain FC, Paris Saint-Germain and Captain (association football), captains the Slovakia national football team, Slovakia national team. Martin Koscelník (born 2 March 1995) is a Slovak professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Czech First League club Slovácko, and the Slovakia national team. Club career Koscelník made his Slovak Super Liga debut for Zemplín Michalovce against AS Trenčín on 18 July 2015, only to be replaced in the second half by Martin Regáli. Ivan Schranz (born 13 September 1993) is a Slovak professional footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Czech First League club Slavia Prague and the Slovakia national team. Schranz finished as the joint-top scorer of the UEFA European Championship in 2024 with three goals, as his nation reached the last 16.
