2019–20 World Rugby Sevens Series
The 2019–20 World Rugby Sevens Series was the 21st annual series of rugby sevens tournaments for national men's rugby sevens teams. The World Rugby Sevens Series, Sevens Series has been run by World Rugby since 1999–2000. In March 2020, World Rugby postponed all remaining tournaments in the series due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The events in London and Paris were postponed provisionally until September, preceding the Singapore and Hong Kong events previously postponed until October. On 30 June, the remaining four rounds of the series was cancelled which meant that New Zealand national rugby sevens team, New Zealand was awarded the title by 11 points over second-placed South Africa national rugby sevens team, South Africa. Napolioni Bolaca
Napolioni Ratu Bolaca (born 20 November 1996) is a Fijian rugby sevens and rugby union player, who has played for the Fiji national rugby sevens team since 2019. At club level, he has played for Fijian Drua. Bolaca was the top point scorer in the 2019–20 World Rugby Sevens Series. He was part of the Fijian squad that won the Rugby sevens at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, rugby seven tournament at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics. Club career At club level, Bolaca has played for Yasawa in the rugby union Skipper Cup, and in rugby sevens competitions. He has also played for Barbarians in the Fijian Super 7s Series. He missed part of the 2020 Skipper Cup due to an injury. Whilst playing rugby in Wadigi Island, Wadigi, Bolaca was spotted by a journalist who recommended him to Fijian head coach Gareth Baber. Western Sydney Stadium, currently known as CommBank Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Parramatta, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
