Yosiwo Palikkun George (24 July 1941 – 13 August 2022) was a Micronesian politician. He served as the Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia in the 19th (2015–2019) and 20th (2019–2022) terms of congress, under the presidencies of Peter M. Christian and David W. Panuelo. Biography George was born in Kosrae. He studied in the Universities of Guam and Hawaii and graduated in 1969. He served as Lieutenant Governor of Kosrae from 1979 to 1980, and then director of the Department of Social Services which oversaw the education, health and social services systems of Micronesia. George served as Governor of Kosrae from January 1983 to January 1991, and later as ambassador to the United States, to Israel and to the United Nations. Kedi is a member of the Kien Eo Ad (KEA) party. Life Kedi was born in 1971. Kedi is a member of the Kien Eo Ad (KEA) party. He represents the Rongelap Atoll in the Legislature. He has stated that people from the atoll are hesitant to return after nuclear testing on the island by the United States during the 20th-century. In June 2011, when Kedi was Minister of Transport and Communications, he was charged with ten counts of criminal acts relating to misappropriation of funds, making it the first time a Marshall Islands minister was charged with criminal acts. Hilda Cathy Heine (born 6 April 1951) is a Marshallese educator and politician. She has served as the president of the Marshall Islands since 2024, having previously served from 2016 to 2020. Heine was the first woman to lead any sovereign country in Micronesia and the first person from the Marshall Islands to earn a doctorate. Prior to entering politics, she worked as a teacher and counselor at Marshall Islands High School and then as a women's rights activist with her organization Women United Together Marshall Islands. Taneti Maamau (born 16 September 1960) is an I-Kiribati politician who has served as the fifth president of Kiribati since 2016. A member of the Tobwaan Kiribati Party, his policies are targeted at strengthening Kiribati's weak economy and alleviating social issues.
