The 2019 Tour de France was the 106th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours. The -long race consisted of 21 race stage, stages, starting in the Belgian capital of Brussels on 6 July, before moving throughout France and concluding on the Champs-Élysées stage in the Tour de France, Champs-Élysées in Paris on 28 July. A total of 176 riders from 22 Cycling team, teams participated in the race. The 2019 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included thirty-eight road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2019 in men's road cycling, 2019 men's cycling season. It was the first time since the World Tour was launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2009 that it was not a ranking competition in its own right.
