2019 NRL Season
The 2019 NRL season was the 112th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 22nd season run by the National Rugby League. The Sydney Roosters became the first team to win back-to-back Premierships since the Brisbane Broncos in 1992–93, and the first to achieve the feat since the unified NRL competition started in 1998. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 13th consecutive year. Pre-season The 2019 pre-season featured the 2019 All Stars match, All Stars match held on February 15 at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, AAMI Park. The 2019 World Club Challenge match saw the 2018 NRL season, NRL premiers Sydney Roosters defeat the Super League XXIII, Super League champions Wigan Warriors. Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club, known as the Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (Sydney), Eastern Suburbs. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. First founded as the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (ESDRLFC), it is the only club to have played in every season at the elite level. The Sydney Roosters have won 15 premierships, equal to the record of the St George Dragons. Only the South Sydney Rabbitohs have won more premierships.
