2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship
The 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship was the inaugural season of the FIA Formula 3 Championship, a multi-event Motorsport#Motor racing, motor racing championship for single-seat Open-wheel car, open-wheel Formula racing, formula racing cars. The championship featured drivers competing in Formula Three, 3.4-litre Formula 3 racing cars which conform to the technical regulations, or formula, of the championship. It ran in support of the 2019 Formula One World Championship, Formula 1 World Championship and its sister series, the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship, FIA Formula 2 Championship. It serves as the third tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. FIA Formula 3 Championship
The FIA Formula 3 Championship (FIA F3) is a third-tier international Open wheel car, single-seater racing championship organised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship launched in 2019 as a feeder series for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and FIA Formula 2 Championships. It was the result of a merger between two third-tier Open wheel car, single-seater racing championships, the GP3 Series and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. This championship is part of the FIA Global Pathway consolidation project plan. Unlike its co-predecessor, the Formula 3 European Championship, the series runs exclusively in support of Formula One races. Halo (safety Device)
The halo is a driver crash-protection system used in open-wheel racing series, which consists of a curved bar placed above the driver's head to protect it. The first tests of the halo were carried out in 2016 and in July 2017. Since the 2018 season, the FIA has made the halo mandatory on every vehicle in Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula Regional, Formula E and also Formula 4 as a safety measure. Some other open-wheel racing series also utilize the halo, such as IndyCar Series, Indy NXT, Super Formula, Super Formula Lights, Euroformula Open and Australian S5000. 2016 GP3 Series
The 2016 GP3 Series was the seventh season of the third-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also seventh season under the moniker of GP3 Series, a motorsport, motor racing feeder series that runs in support of the 2016 Formula One season, 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship and sister series GP2 Series, GP2. In keeping with the series' philosophy of updating its technical regulations every three years, the Dallara GP3/13 chassis introduced in the 2013 GP3 Series, 2013 season was discontinued and Dallara supplied all teams with a new model known as the Dallara GP3/16, GP3/16, which will be used until 2018.
