2018–19 Süper Lig
The 2018–19 Süper Lig, officially called the Spor Toto Süper Lig Lefter Küçükandonyadis season, was the 61st season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The season began on 10 August 2018 and concluded in 26 May 2019. The season was named after Lefter Küçükandonyadis, a former Turkey national team player and Fenerbahçe legend. This season the VAR was introduced in all games of Süper Lig competition. Teams A total of 18 teams contest the league, including 15 sides from the 2017–18 season and three promoted from the 2017–18 TFF First League. It includes Rizespor and Ankaragücü, the two top teams from the TFF First League, and Erzurum BB, the winners of the 2017–18 TFF First League playoffs. Hatayspor
Hatayspor Kulübü, known as Atakaş Hatayspor due to sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional football club located in Antakya, Hatay Province. Hatayspor, founded in 1967 through a merger of three local clubs, aimed to promote sports and positive habits among youth. The team's colors symbolize nobility, purity, and peace. They won their first championship in 1969–70, earning promotion. Over the years, they faced relegations and promotions in lower leagues. They reached the Second League in 1989-90 and 1993, and finally promoted to the Süper Lig in the 2019–20 season. Karşıyaka () is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of İzmir Province, Turkey. Its area is 51 km2, and its population is 346,264 (2022). Ankara Demirspor
Ankara Demirspor is a Turkish professional football club based in Ankara. They compete in the TFF Second League. They were one of the Super League's founding members in 1959. By winning the former Turkish Football Championship in 1947, they became Turkish champions for the first and only time. Bayrampaşa SK, formerly Bayrampaşaspor, is a Turkish professional football club located in the Bayrampaşa district of Istanbul. They currently play in the TFF Third League, the fourth tier of Turkish football. History In 1942 the club was founded as Sağmalcılar Youth Sports Club, in 1959 the name was changed to Bayrampaşa Youth Sports Club. The club has spent the majority of its history in the third division, between 1984 and 1994, before being relegated to the amateur divisions. In 2009, after 16 years, they returned to the fourth tier of Turkish football. Soon after, in May 2012 they beat Hacettepe S.K. by a score of 2–1, thereby being promoted back into the TFF Second League (after being out for 53 years).
