2018 UCI Asia Tour
The 2018 UCI Asia Tour was the 14th season of the UCI Asia Tour. The season began on 28 October 2017 with the Tour of Hainan and ended 21 October 2018. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Asia Tour cycling jersey. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Yukiya Arashiro
is a Japanese road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career Born in Ishigaki, Okinawa Prefecture, Arashiro was the Japanese Under-23 National Time Trial and Road Race Champion in 2005. He has also won the Japanese National Road Race Championships three times, in 2007, 2013 and 2022. In 2009 he was selected by his team to ride the Tour de France. Along with Fumiyuki Beppu, he was the first Japanese national to complete that race, as on prior occasions Kisso Kawamuro and Daisuke Imanaka had started, but not finished, the race. By finishing the 2010 Giro d'Italia, he became the first Japanese person to finish two Grand Tour events. Tour De Taiwan
The Tour de Taiwan is an annual professional road bicycle racing race stage, stage race held in Taiwan since 1978, and has been part of the UCI Asia Tour since 2005. It was classed a 2.1 category race for the first time in 2012. History The Tour de Taiwan was established by Giant Bicycles, Giant Sports Foundation's founder, King Liu, in 1978. The first race began in Taipei, continued through Western Taiwan, Southern Taiwan, Eastern Taiwan, and finally ended in Taipei. Alexey Alexandrovich Lutsenko (; born 7 September 1992) is a Kazakh professional cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . Career In 2012 he won the under-23 road race at the UCI Road World Championships in the Netherlands. At the 2015 Tour de Suisse, Lutsenko put in an attack after the penultimate climb of the day and it led him to victory on stage 8. In 2019, Lutsenko had his most prolific season to that point, with ten individual victories. The 2018 Tour of Oman was a road cycling stage race that took place between 13 and 18 February 2018 in Oman. It was the ninth edition of the Tour of Oman and was rated as a 2.HC race as part of the 2018 UCI Asia Tour. The previous year's winner, Ben Hermans, did not defend his title.
