2017–18 Southeastern Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2017–18 Southeastern Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2017, followed by the start of the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play started in early January 2018 and ended in March, after which 14 member teams participated in the 2018 SEC men's basketball tournament, 2018 SEC tournament at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri. The tournament champion was guaranteed a selection to the 2018 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2018 NCAA tournament. NCAA Division I
NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest division of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally. D-I schools include the major collegiate athletic powers, with large budgets, more elaborate facilities and more athletic scholarships than Division II and Division III as well as many smaller schools committed to the highest level of intercollegiate competition. Quade Green (born May 12, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Golden Eagle Ylli in the Kosovo Superleague. He played college basketball for the Washington Huskies and the Kentucky Wildcats. High school career Green attended Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he won four consecutive Pennsylvania Class 3A state championships. Green finished his career at Neumann-Goretti with 1,853 points, which ranks second in program history. In the United States, the Coaches Poll is a weekly ranking of the top 25 NCAA Division I (NCAA), Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football, Division I (NCAA), Division I college basketball, and Division I college baseball teams.
