Church Of Sweden
The Church of Sweden () is an Evangelical Lutheran national church in Sweden. A former state church, headquartered in Uppsala, with around 5.5 million members at year end 2023, it is the largest Christian denomination in Sweden, the largest List of Lutheran denominations, Lutheran denomination in Europe and the third-largest in the world, after the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. A member of the Porvoo Communion, the church professes Lutheranism. It is composed of thirteen dioceses, divided into parishes. Eric Ericson
Eric Gustaf Ericson (26 October 1918 – 16 February 2013) was a Swedish choral conductor and influential choral teacher. Life and career He graduated from the Royal College of Music (''Kungl. Musikhögskolan'') in Stockholm in 1943 and went on to complete his studies abroad, at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Switzerland, and in Germany, Great Britain, and the United States. Renowned for his innovative teaching methods and the wide-ranging nature of his repertoire, Ericson was the principal conductor of the Orphei Drängar choir at Uppsala University from 1951 until 1991, and choirmaster until 1982 of the Swedish Radio Choir which was established on his initiative in 1951. Also in 1951, he began his teaching career at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he became a legendary and inspirational figure, and he was appointed to the chair of choral conducting there in 1968. Kjell Hjertsson
Kjell Hjertsson (1 August 1922 – 8 February 2013) was a Swedish association football, footballer who played his career at Malmö FF and Råå IF as a midfielder. His brothers Arne Hjertsson and Sven Hjertsson were also footballers. He died 8 February 2013. In 1950 he was recruited to Råå IF, together with his Malmö FF clubmates Walle Ek and Gustaf Nilsson (footballer, born 1922), Gustaf Nilsson. History and profile The newspaper was founded by Lars Johan Hierta in December 1830 under the name of during the modernization of Sweden. Often critical and oppositional, the paper was repeatedly banned from publishing. However, Hierta circumvented the bans by constantly reviving the paper under slightly modified names, as, legally speaking, a new publication. Södermalm is a city district area (, often referred to as a ''borough'') in central Stockholm, Sweden. Södermalm borough has a population of around 110,000, making it the most populated borough of Stockholm. The urban development project of Hammarby Sjöstad is located in the Södermalm borough.
