1999–2000 Santosh Trophy
The 1999–2000 Santosh Trophy was the 56th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main States and union territories of India, State competition for football in India. It was held from 9 to 23 April 2000 in Thrissur and Chalakudy, Kerala. Twenty-eight teams from all over the country were supposed to take part in the national state championships, but six pulled out. Maharashtra beat the home team of Kerala 1–0 in the final. Maharashtra Football Team
The Maharashtra football team, also earlier the Bombay football team, is an Indian football team representing Maharashtra in Indian state football competitions including the Santosh Trophy. They have appeared in the Santosh Trophy finals 15 times, and have won the trophy 4 times. Prior to 1962, the team competed as ''Bombay''. Raman Vijayan (born 4 June 1973) is a football coach, former Indian football player, founder of Noble Football Academy And RamanVijayan Soccer School. Who currently assistant coach of Indian Super League club Chennaiyin FC. The Indian Football Association, abbreviated as IFA, is the organisation that administers football in the Indian state of West Bengal. Mario Soares (born 16 August 1967) is an Indian football manager and a former player who is an assistant coach of Indian I-League side Churchill Brothers. During his playing days, Soares played for Salgaocar, Dempo, Churchill Brothers, and represented India internationally. Playing career Born in Goa, Soares started his football career as a youth player with Salcette. He started his senior career with Salgaocar, where he won the Federation Cup with the club in 1988. Alvito Ronaldo Correia D'Cunha (born 12 July 1978, in Sanvordem) is a retired Indian football player. He was a former member of the India national team and represented India in the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He spent most of his club career in East Bengal. Naushad Moosa (born 10 February 1971) is a former Indian footballer. He is an assistant manager, head coach of the reserve team, and head of youth development of Indian Super League club NorthEast United. Khalid Ahmed Jamil (born 21 April 1977) is an Indian professional football manager and former player who is currently the head coach of Indian Super League club Jamshedpur.
