Buffyverse Comics
This is a List of ''Buffyverse'' comics including different categories of different types of publications. Categories ''Buffy'' comics These were published by Dark Horse, originally in comic format but then gathered into volumes of trade paperbacks. They were published from 1998 until 2004. A small number of ''Buffy'' comics have not been included in trade paperbacks. These include the comics: '' Giles'', '' Jonathan'', and '' Reunion''. The cover art of the individual comic covers can be found here. Dark Horse, under the guidance of Joss Whedon, reinstated the series in 2007 as a canonical continuation of the series. Dark Horse Comics
Dark Horse Comics is an American comic book, graphic novel, and manga publisher founded in Milwaukie, Oregon by Mike Richardson in 1986. The company was created using funds earned from Richardson's chain of Portland, Oregon comic book shops known as Pegasus Books and founded in 1980. Dark Horse Comics has emerged as the fourth largest comic publishing company in the United States of America. Dividing profits with artists and writers, as well as supporting artistic and creative rights in the comic book industry, Dark Horse Comics has become a strong proponent of publishing licensed material that often does not fit into mainstream media. Several titles include: '' Sin City, Hellboy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 300, and Star Wars.'' Tales Of The Slayers
''Tales of the Slayers'' is a Dark Horse Comics ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' graphic novel that consists of multiple stories written by Joss Whedon, Amber Benson, and others which tell of different members of the Slayer line. The stories are presented in chronological order and offer snapshots of Slayers throughout history, from The First Slayer to Melaka Fray (the Slayer of the future who starred in her own limited comic series). The overarching theme of the graphic novel is on the loneliness and duties of being the Slayer. This is reflected in the juxtaposition of the first line in the first short story ("I am alone"), and the final line in the last ("I am not alone"). This graphic novel was followed by the one-shot comic book '' Tales of the Slayers: Broken Bottle of Djinn'' that followed the same concept. Slayer Interrupted (Buffy Comic)
"Slayer, Interrupted" is a comic book storyline based on the ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' television series that was published in ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' #57–59 by Dark Horse Comics. It was later reprinted as part of a trade paperback collected edition. It was influenced by events detailed in the episode "Normal Again". The title references the best-selling memoir ''Girl, Interrupted'', also about institutionalization. Dawn is the time that marks the beginning of twilight before sunrise. It is recognized by the appearance of indirect sunlight being scattered in Earth's atmosphere, when the centre of the Sun's disc has reached 18° below the observer's horizon. This morning twilight period will last until sunrise (when the Sun's upper limb breaks the horizon), when direct sunlight outshines the diffused light. Etymology "Dawn" derives from the Old English verb ''dagian'', "to become day". ''Viva Las Buffy!'' is a comic book storyline based on the ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' television series that was published in ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' #51–54 by Dark Horse Comics. It was reprinted in a trade paperback collected edition. Story description General synopsis After burning down her school gym Buffy was expelled and is now finding it hard to cope with her Slayer duties since her Watcher, Merrick, is dead. ''The Origin'' is a series of comics set in the '' Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' universe. It retells the events of the movie by adapting, and remaining faithful to, Joss Whedon's original script. According to the ''Official Buffy Watcher's Guide'', Whedon wrote the TV pilot episode of Buffy as a sequel to his ''original'' movie script, so this adaptation was a chance for fans to see something closer to his intended vision.
