Bruce Weber (administrator)
Bruce Weber (1951 – 13 April 2006) was an Australian rules football administrator with the Port Adelaide Football Club. Born in Port Adelaide, South Australia, Weber played junior football with South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club Port Adelaide before becoming president of Port Adelaide Football Club from 1986 to 1992. In this role, Weber led a charge for the club to receive a licence in the Australian Football League (AFL). In 1990 this move almost came to fruition but for the formation of a new South Australian club, the Adelaide Football Club, to receive the licence and enter the AFL in 1991. Weber was succeeded by Greg Boulton as president/chairman in 1993, with the Port Adelaide Football Club eventually entering the AFL in 1997. It is considered that Weber's initial vision during his time as president led to this outcome. Bruce Weber (basketball)
Bruce Brett Weber (born October 19, 1956) is the former men's basketball head coach at Kansas State University. Prior to his tenure at Kansas State, Weber was the head coach at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Illinois. Weber won conference championships and conference coach of the year awards at each of the three schools where he served as head coach. He guided his teams to a combined total of 13 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship, NCAA tournaments in 24 seasons, including an appearance with Illinois in the championship game of the 2005 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2005 NCAA tournament. Weber was the consensus national coach of the year in 2004–05 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, 2005. He has made ad campaigns for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Pirelli, Abercrombie & Fitch, Revlon, and Gianni Versace, and made work for ''Vogue'', '' GQ'', '' Vanity Fair'', ''Elle'', ''Life'', ''Interview'', and ''Rolling Stone'' magazines. Life and work Weber was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, to a Jewish family. His fashion photography first appeared in the late 1970s in '' GQ'' magazine, where he had frequent cover photos. Nan Bush, his longtime companion and agent, was able to secure a contract with Federated Department Stores to shoot the 1978 Bloomingdales mail catalog.
