Braddock, Cornwall
Braddock ( kw, Brodhek) is a village and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is about seven miles west of Liskeard, and five miles south-east of Bodmin. The parish was called Broadoak until 1 April 2021. Geography The parish is rural in character and is well wooded, especially in the north, covering of land and of water. The hamlets of West Taphouse and Trewindle are in the parish. According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 124 increasing to 156 at the 2011 census. History Killboy or Penventon Cross is a stone cross standing on the route of a disused path which runs from Penventon Farm to the church. An account of this cross was published in ''The Gentleman's Magazine'' in 1805. The original site of the cross is uncertain. Braddock Point Light
Braddock Point Light was a lighthouse just west of Braddock Bay at Bogus Point on Lake Ontario in New York. History The lighthouse was established and lit in 1896 and was deactivated in 1954. The lighthouse was constructed out of red brick, with an octagonal tower. The lantern portion of the tower was removed from an 1870s lighthouse in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Braddock in 1895. The original lens, installed in 1896, was a third-and-half-order Fresnel lens. The upper two-thirds of the tower was removed by the Coast Guard in 1954 due to structural damage. The Coast Guard reactivated the light on February 28, 1999. Anderson Manoel da Silva (born 29 August 1986), better known as Anderson Braddock, is a Brazilian heavyweight kickboxer and mixed martial artist currently signed to ONE Championship. He has competed in the It's Showtime and K-1, SUPERKOMBAT and GLORY. Combat Press ranked him in the heavyweight top ten between September 2014 and April 2016. John Braddock Clontz (born April 25, 1971) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) relief pitcher who played for the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and Pittsburgh Pirates between and . Lemuel Braddock Schofield was born in Warren, Pennsylvania in 1892. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduated from its law school in 1916, and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar that year.
