Harvey Nichols is a British luxury department store chain founded in 1831, at its flagship store in Knightsbridge, London. It sells designer fashion collections for men and women, fashion accessories, beauty products, fine wines and luxury foods. It is owned by Hong Kong luxury goods company Dickson Concepts. The chain has 14 locations worldwide, including a Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool and a brasserie in the OXO Tower, London. History In 1831 Benjamin Harvey opened a linen shop in a terraced house on the corner of Knightsbridge and Sloane Street in London. In 1835 the shop expanded to number 8 next door, and would continue to expand into successive properties over the following years. In 1841 Benjamin employed James Nichols from Oxfordshire. In 1845 Nichols was promoted to management and in 1848 he married Harvey's niece, Anne Beale. Ben Harvey (rugby Union)
Benjamin John Harvey (born 26 June 1974) is a rugby union coach and former player from Redruth, England. Playing career Harvey played rugby as a Fly-half. During his career he played for Bristol under the captaincy of future England and British and Irish Lions captain, Martin Corry. In 1996, he left Bristol for Richmond before leaving after the 1997–98 season. After his time at Richmond, Harvey moved to Worcester Warriors. Harvey then moved to Stourbridge RFC in 2001. During his playing career, he also played for the England national rugby sevens team. During his time at Stourbridge Ben became a regular scorer in National League 1 and is one of the top scorers in the division of all time. Ben Harvey is a radio, television, and podcast personality in New York City. Early in his career, Harvey worked at WBRU, Brown University’s commercial alternative rock station, where he started as a disc jockey at the age of nineteen. Harvey’s first major-market radio stint was at Y100 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he worked the evening shift starting in 2001. In 2003, Harvey joined 92.3 K-Rock in New York City, where he worked the evening slot. When K-Rock changed formats to become the all-talk Free FM in 2005, Harvey left the station. In 2007 he started in television at the LGBT-related Here TV, where he hosted numerous podcasts and TV programs.
