Bang Sue MRT station (, ; code BL11) is a MRT (Bangkok), Bangkok MRT rapid transit station on the MRT Blue Line, located near Bang Sue Junction railway station, Bangkok. It connects to SRT Dark Red Line and SRT Light Red Line at Bang Sue Grand Station located above the station. Its symbol color is blue. Station layout Before August 2017, Bang Sue station operated only one platform. Currently, the full extension to Tha Phra MRT station, Tha Phra station is in operation and both platforms are in use. Platform 1 is for services to Lak Song MRT station, Lak Song via Phahon Yothin MRT station, Phahon Yothin and Hua Lamphong MRT station, Hua Lamphong. SRT Light Red Line
The SRT Light Red Line, or Nakhon Withi Line ( th, รถไฟชานเมือง นครวิถี) is part of the SRT Red Lines suburban railway system serving the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region running for 15 km between Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal and Taling Chan. The completed line will run east–west from Sala Ya in Phutthamonthon District of Nakhon Pathom Province to Hua Mak Railway Station in Bangkok. The segment from Taling Chan to Bang Son previously opened for limited, free trial service between 5 December 2012 and 13 January 2014 with only 12 services a day until all services were fully suspended due to the lack of rolling stock. After a much delayed completion of electrification of the line and the construction of Bang Sue Grand Station, the line finally opened for trial operations on 2 August 2021. Tao Poon station ( th, สถานีเตาปูน, , ) is a MRT station in Bangkok, located on Tao Pun Junction, Bang Sue District, Bangkok. It is an interchange station of the Blue Line and Purple Line. It is also currently a terminal station for Purple line. History The station was opened on 6 August 2016, initially with only Purple line service and were not connected to the rest of Bangkok's rapid transit the system due to construction delays and a contract dispute. SRT Dark Red Line
The SRT Dark Red Line, or Thani Ratthaya Line ( th, รถไฟชานเมือง สายธานีรัถยา) is part of the SRT Red Line suburban railway system to serve the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region running for 26 km between Bang Sue Grand Station and Rangsit. When fully completed, the line will run on a north–south axis through Bangkok, from Thammasat University's Rangsit campus in Pathum Thani Province to Maha Chai in Samut Sakhon Province for a full length of nearly 87 km. Construction started in 2013 and was originally due to be completed within 3 years by the end of 2016. However, the project experienced numerous delays.
