Baidu Baike (; zh, c= 百度 百科, p=Bǎidù Bǎikē, l=Baidu Encyclopedia, also known as Baidu Wiki) is a semi-regulated Chinese-language collaborative online encyclopedia owned by the Chinese technology company Baidu. Modelled after Wikipedia, the beta version was launched on 20 April 2006, and the official version was launched on 21 April 2008. it has more than 27 million entries and 7.7 million editors. It has the largest number of entries in the world of any Chinese-language online encyclopedia. Baidu officially stated that the Baidu Encyclopedia also serves as the information storage space provided by Baidu for netizens. Baidu Tieba () is a Chinese online forum hosted by the Chinese web services company Baidu. Baidu Tieba was established on December 3, 2003 as an online community that heavily integrates Baidu's search engine. Users may search for a topic of interest forum known as a "bar" which will then be created if it does not exist already. Baidu Tieba accumulated 45 million monthly active users as of December 2021, and the number of its total registered users reached 1.5 billion. Baidu Maps is a desktop and mobile web mapping service application and technology provided by Baidu, offering satellite imagery, street maps, street view (which is called "Panorama" – :zh:百度全景) and indoor view perspectives, as well as functions such as a route planner for traveling by foot, car, or with public transport. Android and iOS applications are available. Baidu Wangpan or Baidu Netdisk (; translation: Baidu Web Drive) is a cloud service provided by Baidu, Inc., headquartered in Haidian District in Beijing. It offers a cloud storage service, client software, file management, resources sharing, and Third Party Integration. Ernie Bot ( zh, c=文心一言, Pinyin: ), full name Enhanced Representation through Knowledge Integration, is an AI chatbot service product of Baidu, released in 2023. It is built on a large language model called ERNIE, which has been in development since 2019. Version, ERNIE 4.0, was announced on October 17, 2023. Version 4.5 and reasoning model ERNIE X1 were released free of charge on March 16, 2025. History Ernie Bot was initially released for invited testing on March 16, 2023, based on "Ernie 3.0", a large language model that had been in development since 2019. Ernie's so-called live release demo was reported to have been prerecorded, which caused Baidu's stock to drop 10 percent the same day. Eric Xu Yong (; born 1964) is a Chinese entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He is best known as co-founder of Baidu, the largest Chinese search engine.
