Bílovice nad Svitavou is a municipality and village in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,700 inhabitants. Drahany Highlands
Drahany is a market town in Prostějov District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. Etymology According to one theory, the name is derived from the personal name Drahan. According to other theory, it is derived from the old Czech word ''draha'' (i.e. 'way', 'road') and referred to a road from Brno to Prostějov that led this way. Geography Drahany is located about west of Prostějov and southwest of Olomouc. It lies in the Drahany Highlands. The highest point is the hill Horka at above sea level. Stanislav Kostka Neumann (born Stanislav Jan Konstantin Václav Bohudar; 5 June 1875 – 28 June 1947) was a Czech poet, literary critic, journalist and translator. He was known for his anarchist and communist views, which influenced his work. He is the father of the actor Stanislav Neumann. Biography Stanislav Kostka Neumann was born on 5 June 1875 in Prague, Austria-Hungary. His father, a lawyer and member of Imperial Council, died when Stanislav was five years old. Stanislav was raised by his mother and aunts. He studied a gymnasium in Prague, but did not graduated. He was arrested in 1893 for his anarchist tendencies and sentenced to fourteen months in prison. He served his sentence in Plzeň-Bory. From 1897 to 1905, he worked as the chief editor of his own magazine, ''Nový kult'' ('new cult'), which brought together Czech anarchists. Rudolf Těsnohlídek (7 June 1882 – 12 January 1928) was a Czechs, Czech writer, poet, journalist and translator. He also used the pseudonym Arnošt Bellis. Biography Těsnohlídek was born on 7 June 1882 in Čáslav, Austria-Hungary. He attended gymnasium (school), gymnasium in Hradec Králové and later started to study Czech, history and French at university in Prague but didn't graduate. Starting in 1908, he was a contributor to the Brno newspaper ''Lidové noviny'', where he became a reporter of ''soudničky'' (cases from the local magistrate's court). His serialized novel ''Liška Bystrouška'' (''Vixen Sharp Ears''), written to accompany a series of drawings by Stanislav Lolek, appeared in the ''Lidové noviny'' between 7 April and 23 June 1920 and is regarded as an early comic strip.
