Bésame Mucho
"Bésame Mucho" (; "Kiss Me A Lot") is a bolero song written in 1932 by Mexican songwriter Consuelo Velázquez. One of the most important songs in the history of Latin music, it became one the most popular pop standards of the 20th century as well as a jazz standard. "Bésame Mucho" was recognized in 1999 as the most recorded and covered Spanish-language song of all time. Famous versions were sung by Trio Los Panchos and female vocalist Gigliola Cinquetti in 1968, and by Dalida in 1976. English lyrics to it were written by Sunny Skylar. The song appeared in the film '' Follow the Boys'' (May 5, 1944) when it was played by Charlie Spivak and his Orchestra and in '' Cowboy and the Senorita'' (May 13, 1944) with vocal by Dale Evans. It was also sung by Chris Isaak in the 2003 movie '' Mona Lisa Smile''. It inspired the cult Indian song, Yeh Samaa Samaa Hai Pyar Ka, sung by Lata Mangeshkar in the film Jab Jab Phool Khile. Topi Sorsakoski
Pekka Erkki Juhani Tammilehto (27 October 1952 – 13 August 2011), better known by his stage name Topi Sorsakoski, was a Finnish singer. His father was Finnish tango singer Yrjö Johannes "Tapio" Tammilehto. Career Sorsakoski started his career together with his brother, Antti, who had played in various bands together with Juice Leskinen, in the Kalle Kiwes Blues Band. Some of Sorsakoski's cousins are also musicians: Seppo Tammilehto, who played in Alwari Tuohitorvi and later had a solo career; and Juhani Tammela, who has played old dancehall music in his quintet in the 1960s. Next Sorsakoski worked as the guitarist in the band The Boys. In the 1980s, he started performing together with the band Agents, also singing songs earlier performed by Olavi Virta. Sorsakoski later had a solo career and also worked with the band Kulkukoirat. He returned to for a time to the Agents beginning in May 2007. Blanquita Amaro
Blanquita Amaro (June 30, 1923 in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba – March 15, 2007 in Miami, United States) was a Cuban film actress of the 1940s and early 1950s who starred in the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. She appeared in some 17 films between 1939 and 1954 appearing often in films involving her native Cuba in co-production with Argentina such as ''A La Habana me voy'' (''I'm Coming to Havana''), working under director Luis Bayón Herrera. She also appeared in films such as ''Buenos Aires a la vista'' in 1950 though which on the contrary had strong Argentine themes in it. She retired from films in 1954. Post film work She left Cuba for Panama in 1959, and settled there with her husband and manager, Orlando Villegas, and their daughter, Idania. For 10 years, she hosted a daily television program and participated in many benefit shows. Blanquita Amaro died, aged 83, in Miami of a myocardial infarction, heart attack.
