Butler Bulldogs Men's Soccer
The Butler Bulldogs men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Butler University, an NCAA Division I member school located in Indianapolis, IN. The team played its final season in the Horizon League in 2011; on July 1, 2012, the Bulldogs joined the Atlantic 10 Conference for one season. The team currently plays in the Big East Conference. History Butler University first fielded a varsity men's soccer team in 1989, when they earned a 12–7 record under head coach Langdon Kumler, including a 7–0 record against teams from the state of Indiana. The Bulldogs began conference play the following season when their record improved to 14–6 with a 5–3 mark in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference (now called the Horizon League). Butler Bowl
} Bud and Jackie Sellick Bowl is a multi-purpose stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It opened in 1928 and is home to the Butler University Bulldogs football and soccer teams. The original seating was 36,000. It held games against the likes of the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame and Red Grange of Illinois. Stephen Armstrong
Stephen Armstrong (born 23 July 1976) is an English former footballer who spent the majority of his career with clubs in the United States. Career College and amateur Armstrong was born in Birkenhead, England and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. He came to the United States to attend Butler University in Indiana and finished as the school's third all-time leading scorer with 43 goals and 16 assists. During his college career Armstrong also played for the Mid-Michigan Bucks in the Premier Development League. Zach Steinberger
Zach Steinberger (born May 10, 1992) is an American former professional soccer player. Career Youth and college Growing up in Southern California, Steinberger spent time with various youth soccer teams in the area before joining IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He then tried his luck in Europe, spending time in the youth ranks for Slovakian club MFK Košice and German side Karlsruher SC. After two years in Europe, Steinbgerger returned to the States to play college soccer. Steinberger spent his entire college career at Butler University between 2011 and 2014, where he made 65 appearances, scored 14 goals, and had 15 assists for the Bulldogs.
