South Miami-Dade Busway
The Metrobus network provides bus service throughout Miami-Dade County 365 days a year, operated by Miami-Dade Transit. It consists of about 79 routes and 771 buses, which connect most points in the county and part of southern Broward County as well. As of , the system has rides per year, or about per day in . Busways Travel Services was a bus operator formed in 1986 which operated local and regional bus services in Tyne and Wear, England. The company was purchased by the Stagecoach Group in July 1994. History Formation In October 1986, to comply with the Transport Act 1985, the bus operations of the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive were transferred to a new legal entity named Busways Travel Services. Busways divided its main services into four colour-coded divisions. Services operated out of Slatyford and Byker depots were branded as Newcastle and City Busways respectively, taking on a maroon livery, while South Shields and Sunderland depots' Busways operations were branded blue and green respectively. Metroway
Metroway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) line operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) as part of their Metrobus system. It consists of a single line operating in Arlington and Alexandria, Virginia. It opened on August 24, 2014. It was the first bus rapid transit line to open in Virginia and in the Washington metropolitan area. Transitway (Ottawa)
The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with regular traffic, making it possible to run quickly and consistently, even during rush hour traffic. The El Monte Busway (also known as the I-10 ExpressLanes) is a shared-use express bus corridor ( busway) and high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes running along Interstate 10 (San Bernardino Freeway) between Alameda Street near Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles and a point west of Interstate 605 (I-605) in El Monte, California. From Alameda Street to Interstate 710 (I-710) in Monterey Park, the El Monte Busway runs parallel to the north side of the freeway. After the I-710 interchange, these lanes merge back to the median of I-10. Eastbound busses exit the El Monte Busway at El Monte Station before the HOT lanes for other vehicles end west of I-605. The busway runs for from the southern shore of the Ohio River near Downtown Pittsburgh to Carnegie, following former railroad right-of-way on the Panhandle Route. Runcorn is an industrial town and Runcorn Docks, cargo port in the Borough of Halton, Cheshire, England. Runcorn is on the south bank of the River Mersey, where the estuary narrows to form the Runcorn Gap. It is upstream from the port of Liverpool.
