''Burrock'n Roll'' is a demo tape by Spanish rock band Platero y Tú released in 1990. It was reissued by DRO on 24 February 1992. The outro of the song "Si tú te vas" is taken from Status Quo's version of the song Rockin' All Over the World. Several songs from the album were re-recorded and released as part of the band's follow-up and mainstream debut '' Voy a Acabar Borracho''. Platero Y Tú
Platero y Tú () was a Spanish rock and roll and blues rock band formed in Bilbao in the 1980s, and disbanded in 2001. Their lyrics mainly deal about drugs, bar issues and love, and their style, being mainly influenced by bands such as Status Quo (band), Status Quo, AC/DC and Leño, and guitarists like John Fogerty from Creedence Clearwater Revival, broke with the Basque Radical Rock trend of the moment. History Platero y Tú was formed in Bilbao, in the late 80s. Juantxu and Iñaki Antón, Uoho were the first ones to practice together, after their former band, ''Ke'', broke up. Maguila joined later, as a drummer. One day Juantxu invited Fito Cabrales, Fito, his neighbor, to a practicing session, and he ended up joining the group as singer and guitarist. They recorded their first demo in the Arion studios in Pamplona with the money from their first performances, and took the name "Platero y Tú" that would become definitive. Status Quo (band)
Status Quo are a British rock band. The group originated in London and was founded in 1962 by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster while they were still schoolboys. After a number of name and lineup changes, which included the introduction of John Coghlan (drummer), John Coghlan in 1963 and Rick Parfitt in 1967, the band became The Status Quo in 1967 and Status Quo in 1969. As of 2022, the group have been active for 60 consecutive years (despite announcing a breakup in 1984, they played Live Aid the following year and resumed normal activities in 1986). Rockin' All Over The World
"Rockin' All Over the World" is a rock song written by John Fogerty, formerly of Creedence Clearwater Revival. It made its debut on Fogerty's second solo album in 1975. It was also released as a single, spending six weeks in the US top 40, peaking at #27. Status Quo recorded their own, heavier arrangement of Fogerty's song for their 1977 album '' Rockin' All Over the World''. The cover peaked at #3 in the UK Singles Chart and also charted in several other countries. In July 1985, Status Quo opened Live Aid at Wembley Stadium with "Rockin' All Over the World". Fogerty has given the cover a positive appraisal, occasionally making joking reference to it as the better-known version in introducing the song at UK gigs, and has talked about how the success of Status Quo's version came during a "very dark period" in his life and "made imfeel much better". Adolfo "Fito" Cabrales Mato (; born 6 October 1966) is a Spanish musician. He has been singer and guitarist of the bands Platero y Tú, Extrechinato y Tú and his current band Fito & Fitipaldis. As of October 2014, he sold more than 2.6 million records throughout his career; 1.6 million of which corresponded to sales of Fito & Fitipaldis alone. Biography Adolfo "Fito" Cabrales was born on 6 October 1966 in the Zabala neighbourhood in Bilbao, and spent part of his childhood and adolescence in Laredo, Cantabria, and Málaga. Iñaki Antón
Iñaki Antón González (; August 3, 1964), also known by his stage name Uoho, is a Spanish musician, songwriter and record producer. He was the lead guitarist of Platero y Tú, and now is a member of Extremoduro and his solo project, Inconscientes. Biography Iñaki Antón González was born on August 3, 1964, in Bilbao. He spent his youth at Zabala (Bilbao), where he met his Platero y Tú bandmates. He started with classical music learning piano. At 14 or 15 years old started to listen to classic rock bands such as Deep Purple or Status Quo and at 17 or 18 he learned to play guitar self-taught.
