Burao
Burao, also spelt Bur'o or Bur'ao (; , , ), is the capital of the Togdheer region and the second largest city in Somaliland. Burao was the site of the Somaliland Declaration of Independence, declaration of an independent Somaliland on 18 May 1991. Etymology The word ''burco'' describes open, elevated land which has soft/rich soil, with the Burao area being considered fertile. History The city originated as a well named Ceel-Gooni in the late 18th century used by nomads from the surrounding area. The town subsequently grew around the well. Due to the availability of water along the dry valley, Burao developed into a small inland market hub that linked the port of Berbera with the hinterland and offered trading facilities for the region's nomadic population. The settlement was later on burned to the ground by British Somaliland, British forces in 1900, with the modern settlement being re-established in 1910. For much of the 19th century, Burao served as the capital of the Habr ...

Burong Isda
''Burong isda'' (literally "fermented fish") is a Philippine_cuisine, Filipino dish consisting of cooked rice and raw fish fillet, filleted fermented fish, fish fermentation (food), fermented with salt and ''angkak'' (red yeast rice) for around a week. The dish is common in central Luzon, most notably in the province of Pampanga. ''Angkak'' may also be omitted, especially in western central Luzon, resulting in a white-colored version. ''Burong isda'' variants are usually named after the fish they were made with; e.g. ''burong bangus'' for ''burong isda'' made with ''bangus'' (milkfish). Shrimp versions of the dish are known as ''burong hipon'' or ''balao-balao''. ''Burong isda'' is very similar to other fermented fish and rice dishes of Asia, including ''narezushi'' of Japanese cuisine and ''pla ra'' of Thai cuisine. All of these dishes rely on lactic acid fermentation to preserve the food. See also *Binagoongan *Daing *Kinilaw *Tapai *Burong mangga *Atchara External links * ...

Büro, Büro
''Büro, Büro ("Office, Office")'' is a German comedy television series. Plot summary The series' plot revolves around the everyday life at Lurzer KG, a small firm producing gym equipment. It deals with both the personal relationships among the staff (including romance, friendships, and feuds) and the highs and lows of running a business. The latter topic includes rationalisation, incorporation (and later exclusion) into an American holding company, and having to move the office several times. Running gags in the show include the constant personal absence of the company's manager, Mr. Lurzer, and that the attempts of his subordinate executives - especially personnel manager Dr. Herbert Brokstedt (Joachim Wichmann), and his successor Dr. Adalbert-Wilhelm Schmitt-Lausitz (Ralf Wolter) - to motivate the rest of the staff tend to produce anything but the desired effect. The title sequence is known for its use of the melody " The Typewriter" by Leroy Anderson, which featured in the ...
