Brian Robinson (born c. 1974) is a former American football player. He played at the safety position for the Auburn Tigers football team in 1993 and 1994. As a junior in 1994, he led the Southeastern Conference with eight interceptions, including three against a Florida team that was ranked nationally No. 1 at the time. Robinson was a consensus selection as a defensive back on the 1994 College Football All-America Team. He left Auburn after his junior year to participate in the 1995 NFL Draft, but he was not selected. Brian Robinson (born 1971) is a high school basketball coach for Bishop McGuinness High School in Kernersville, North Carolina. He led Bishop to 9 straight NCHSAA 1A state championships, which is a state record. The Villains won their 10th State Championship in 2022. He currently serves on the board to pick the North Carolina Gatorade Player-of-the-Year and is the WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association) Chair for the National High School All-American Team. Robinson is the author of three books, and has been a speaker at basketball clinics for the University of Florida, Georgia Tech, and Duke University. Was named one of the Top 100 High School Coaches in the 100 year history of the NCHSAA in 2013, known as a "Coach To Remember" in any sport, for either gender. Brian Robinson (3 November 1930 – 25 October 2022) was an English road bicycle racer of the 1950s and early 1960s. He was the first Briton to finish the Tour de France and the first to win a Tour stage. He won the 1961 Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré stage race. His success as a professional cyclist in mainland Europe paved the way for other Britons such as Tom Simpson and Barry Hoban. Brian Robinson (born 20 March 1966) is a former Irish rugby union international player who played for the Irish national rugby union team as a number eight. He played for Ireland from 1991 to 1994, winning 25 caps and scoring 6 tries, after making his debut in February 1991 against France in a 21–13 defeat. He was part of the Ireland squad at the 1991 Rugby World Cup where he scored four tries in a match against Zimbabwe. Brian Robinson (born 1953) is a former Canadian national soccer team player. He was born in Victoria, British Columbia. Club career Robinson started playing at the age of ten with the Evening Optimist Club in his home town and later starred in the Victoria High School team that reached the B.C. High School final in 1966. At 17 he was playing for Vic West in the Victoria City League where he played for two years before joining Victoria United in the Pacific Coast League. By 1970 he was playing in the Western Canada Soccer League for the Victoria Royals and was a member of the WCSL championship team in that year. Brian Harford Robinson (24 April 1940 – 30 August 2016) was a New Zealand inorganic chemist. He is noted for his contribution to cluster chemistry and the design of organometallic compounds with biomedical applications. Early life and education Born in Christchurch on 24 April 1940, Robinson was the son of Jack Robinson and Lurline Robinson (née Cross). He was educated at Christchurch Boys' High School, and then studied at the University of Canterbury, graduating Master of Science with second-class honours in chemistry in 1962. He completed a PhD at the same institution in 1964. His thesis, titled ''Studies in the coordination chemistry of certain transition metals'', elucidated the first structure of a cluster compound and its unusual delocalised bonding. Brian William Robinson was the second last person executed in Western Australia at Fremantle Prison, on 24 January 1964. On 9 February 1963 Robinson shot and killed police constable Noel Isles, who had attended a domestic incident. Robinson fled to the Gnangara Pine Plantation, causing one of the biggest manhunts in Western Australia's history. Incident Isles, though going off duty at the time, had responded to a phone call to the Belmont police station about a domestic argument. The incident between Robinson and his father occurred because Robinson had heard a rumour that his mother was also his sister. As Isles arrived and entered the front gate he was shot by Robinson from a front window. Robinson then went outside and shot Isles a second time before fleeing. Brian Robinson (c. 1962 - 2 September 1989) was a loyalist from Belfast, Northern Ireland and member of the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) who was witnessed killing a Catholic civilian. His death at the hands of an undercover British Army unit is one of the few from the alleged shoot-to-kill policy in Northern Ireland to have involved a loyalist victim. Life Robinson was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland to Rab and Margaret Robinson, and brought up a Protestant on Disraeli Street in the staunchly loyalist Woodvale district of the Shankill Road. It is not known when he became a member of the local Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF). He held the rank of volunteer in its "B Company", 1st Battalion Belfast Brigade.
